Lord God Almighty, Omnipotent King, Lion of Judah, Rock of Ages, Prince of
Peace, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Provider, Protector, Leader, Lord, Father,
Helper, Guardian, God, Jesus the First and Last, the Beginning and the End!
Fairest Lord Jesus, Ruler of all nature, O Thou of God and man the Son:
Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor, Thou my soul's glory, joy, and crown.
Fair are the meadows, Fairer still the woodlands,
Robed in the blooming garb of spring. Jesus is fairer, Jesus is purer,
Who makes the woeful heart to sing. Fair is the sunshine,
Fairer still the moonlight, And all the twinkling starry host.
Jesus shines brighter, Jesus shines purer, Than all the angels heaven can boast!

I will, like JEHOSHAPHAT, prepare my heart to seek God.
I will, like ENOCH, walk in daily fellowship with my Heavenly Father.
I will, like DANIEL, communicate with my God at all times.
I will, like MOSES, choose rather to suffer than enjoy the pleasures of sin.
I will, like JOB, be patient in all circumstances.
I will, like GIDEON, stand firm in my faith although my friends be few.
I will, like AARON, uphold the hands of those in spiritual leadership.
I will, like ISAIAH, consecrate myself to do God's work.
I will, like JOSHUA, be strong and of good courage
as I follow the Lord's leading.

be used of Him to help redeem seeking souls for God. (G. Barmore)

DEAREST LORD JESUS! We Love You And Praise You,
And Joyfully Worship You Today! DOWN AND LOOKING UP!Psalms 88
While the Christmas season and New Years are now behind us, most will be
getting back into a normal flow of life in the coming days. For many, the
holidays were just a temporary change from the difficult circumstances and
trials they are going through. They are now facing again problems that seem
to have no answers. Having to make decisions when there are no easy or good
options. It is in these times of our lives, when our faith must become real,
when the relationship with the Lord we speak of must give us strength and
courage. In the majority of cases, the problems we face are of our own
making or because of non-prayerful decisions we have made, or just living
totally in rebellion to God. They did not happen overnight, and there are no
overnight solutions. I wish I had the wisdom to tell you the path out but I
can't. I do know where the first step is though, and that is what I want to
share with you today.
When you are down, there is only one place to look but up. When you are
facing those incredibly difficult life problems we all face from time to
time, looking up is where you want to be. You see, it is only in crying out
to God that we can have hope. It is only in crying out to God that we can
have a chance. Getting on your knees and committing first yourself, then
your ituation into the hands of God is where you have to begin. Regardless
of how you feel, the guilt you feel, the shame you feel, God has not left
you. He is there, waiting patiently for you to cry out to Him. He is not
waiting to punish you, though He will allow you to suffer the consequences of
your sinful behavior. First of all He loves you. He created you in His own
image and He cares about you deeply. He has promised to forgive you and
cleanse you from all unrighteousness if you simply confess your sins and ask
for His forgiveness. God loves you..He is waiting for you....if you are
ready to deal with your problems and begin to put them behind you, you have
got to start on your knees, looking up, talking to the God who loves you
soooo very much.
I love you deeply, and today I feel the pain many of you are carrying. I
have written these words because God wants to help you today. I am praying
all day today that you will allow the Lord to carry this burden you have
today. That you will make the commitment today to put whatever the situation
is behind you. It takes courage and strength. My prayer is that God will
give you the courage and strength to face your problems and start on the road
to victory not by running forward, but by getting on your knees and crying
out to your God and letting Him carry you. I pray, that today, this day,
right this second, He will touch you by His Spirit and you will not fight it,
but allow the Lord to love you as you look up to Him.
May His richest blessings be with you this day. For those traveling, may His
mercies and protection be with you. It is a new millennium, a new year. As
you have that special intimate time each day with the Lord, let Him
challenge you and guide you in your service to Him in the year 2000.
(Bill Keller)Faith isn't faith, until it's all you're holding on to.

GOD IS STILL DWELLING AMONG US!
The New Testament writers affirm God's complete identification with a
suffering world. The apostle John describes God's empathetic participation
in human suffering when he writes that "God became flesh and dwelt amongus"
in Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, "God with us."
The Christian affirmation is that, far from being aloof, God chose to
participate in his suffering world. The Son of God suffered as a real human
being. And, while an all-powerful God certainly had the ability to fully
understand suffering without sending his son as a human, we humans needed to
know that he has endured and overcome the bitterest that life had to offer.
Jesus epitomized God's greatest message that he is with us. Jesus overcame
the rule of Satan, healing those who were oppressed by the devil, "for God
was with him." (Acts 10:38) With the authority of God, Jesus entered aworld
enslaved by Satan. He came not only to exercise mercy, but to join battle
invasions of Satan's realm. They are manifestations of the beginning of the
end for Satan and the dawn of salvation. Every time we read of Jesus driving
out another evil spirit we are seeing another promise of the time when Satan
will be robbed of his power.
Jesus announced the kingdom and revealed that the reign of God had begun -- a
time when his salvation comes personally to mankind. "The Spirit of theLord
... has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to
proclaim release to the captives and ... to set at liberty those who are
oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." (Luke 4: 18-19)
Jesus came to extend help to those in the depths of despair.(Randy Becton)
